Welcome
to CARE (Chabot-Las Positas Association of Retired Employees) a
collegial organization created to serve the economic and social
interests of our members.
Every employee of Chabot College, Las Positas College,
or the District automatically becomes a member of CARE upon retirement.
No fees or payment of any kind is a requirement of membership. However,
members are asked to pay annual dues to defray the costs of printing and
mailing the newsletter, communicating with the membership and
representing CARE members.
CARE’s most important function, especially in recent
years, is ADVOCACY. When challenges arise to benefits or retiree rights
CARE provides information and leadership which can help address these
issues in a professional way.
Membership in CARE includes an opportunity to enjoy
the annual reunion, participate in other social activities and
contribute to student success through the CARE FUND.
CARE was created to promote collegiality between
retirees from the campuses and district and as a means to keep in touch
with each other. CARE provides a liaison between retirees and the
district through its Newsletter which notifies of upcoming events and
changes on the campuses
Your active membership in CARE will insure that your
organization will stay strong in its representation of your interests.
Again, welcome to CARE!
